Each year the best bass anglers in the world including (6) Federation Nation qualifiers gather to compete in the world’s most prestigious tournament, the Bassmasters Classic. As another champion is etched into the history books, thousands of Federation Nation Members start planning their own Road To The Classic.

Some chapter members are satisfied to simply be involved in a B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Club with all of the benefits associated with being a member without aspirations of making it to the top. Others have loftier goals and set their sights on a once in a lifetime opportunity, a place on Team Ontario or even a birth in the Bassmaster Classic.

For many here in Canada it’s all about just making “the” team, Team Ontario. The feeling of pride and accomplishment is unparalleled and the memories and bragging rights will last forever. The executive and directors of the Ontario B.A.S.S. Federation Nation would like to make this year bigger and better than ever. It is our goal to attract the largest field in the history of the Hank Gibson Qualifier and send another great team to the Eastern Divisional Qualifier. Our champion and contender will then head to the Federation Nation Championship with a goal to be the first Canadian to compete in “the classic” through the federation system. Imagine fishing for your country in the biggest fishing tournament in the world.

If you are a non boater or a boater unfamiliar with Lake Muskoka we will be adding a “boater/ non boater match section” in the Hank Gibson section of the web site. Boaters that are planning a day of pre-fishing and would like a partner for the day either to share the expense or just share some company, we will post the date you plan to fish along with contact information. Hopefully this will help draw more non boaters and allow more boaters access to the event.
